Some of the work that you will do: * Startup of equipment, mechanical trouble shooting of problems and training of plant personnel * Visits clients with Agent, Regional Sales Manager, or Account Manager to understand current needs * Conduct shop inspections, installation of structural steel components at jobsite, erection and start-up supervision and assistance * Provide warranty repair and problem resolution * Configure the PLC/HMI hardware to effectively communicate. Additional computer networking elements such as remote access and control, output to printer or data storage, mobile device accessibility or any other customer driven specification is required * Understand of various pieces of mechanical water and wastewater treatment equipment and how they operate individually and collectively. * Use Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams to write, compile and test PLC code using commercially available and proprietary PLC software * Diagnose and repair electrical panels Here are the skills that you need: * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent * Valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record * Ability to pass a criminal background, medical, or other related screenings as required by specific client locations * Ability to complete domestic or international travel, including weekends and holidays, up to 80% of the time * One or more years of experience completing mechanical or electrical repairs * Knowledge of or experience with steel fabrication, welding, and inspection * Ability to resolve electric/motor/VFD/PLC issues * Troubleshooting and repair of electrical panels * Ability to read and understand engineering detail drawings * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Organizational and time management skills * Experience with any of the following PLC's: Allen Bradly, Modicon, Siemens, Automation Direct, and Omron Here are the skills that will set you apart: * Two year or higher degree or certification in in a mechanical trade program, programming, or engineering * Three or more years of experience completing mechanical or electrical repairs * Knowledge of or experience detailing mechanical equipment similar in nature to WesTech equipment * Broad knowledge and expertise in instrumentation used in water treatment processing * Knowledge of water treatment processes and ability to automate the control systems to achieve a steady, consistent chemical dosage * Affiliation with any globally recognized Automation, Systems, or Instrumentation organization is a plus Physical Requirements: * Must be able to work at desk computer/phone system * Some lifting may be involved up to 50 pounds, specifically when in the warehouse area(s) * When at job sites will be required to inspect equipment. This may involve: * Bending/stooping/walking on ladders, walkways, catwalks, (may involve heights) * Exposure to elements; cold, heat, wet, and/or dark.
