FACILITY SUPERVISOR PURPOSE: Assist management staff with facility operations and staff supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of secondary education or equivalent. Prefer at least one year of experience in supervisory and customer service capacity. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Possession of current first-aid and C.P.R. certificate is preferred. EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Computer, calculator, copier, , telephone system, cleaning equipment, two-way radio, fitness equipment, , cleaning equipment, hand & power tools, and other various pieces of recreation related equipment. INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); works around persons of all ages; exposed to possible injury from bodily fluids, hazardous waste; may have contact with potentially violent or emotionally distraught persons; routinely lifts objects 50 lbs. or less; occasionally pushes objects 50 lbs. or less; occasionally pulls objects 50 lbs. or less. JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS: JOB DUTIES in order of importance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101: * Maintains a safe environment for patrons. * Interacts with patrons on a daily basis. * Assists full-time management staff with facility operations and staff supervision. * Maintains general order, security & cleanliness at facilities. * Routinely inspects the facility and surrounding areas to ensure proper use and scheduling of facility. * Investigates complaints, concerns and issues and reports them to Manager On-Duty. * Prepares daily reports as required. * Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of the facility. * Sets up and tears down equipment, including tables, chairs, volleyball standards, etc. * Assists other staff in all areas of facility/building operations. * Assists in the planning, supervision and implementation of programs, classes, leagues and activities. * Activates "Emergency Action Plan" as necessary and coordinates all efforts with full-time staff. * Assists in the securing and reporting of daily income receipts. * Maintains accurate records (attendance, accidents, injuries, discipline). * Selects, stores, issues and inventories equipment, materials & supplies. * Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Strictly enforces policies, rules, regulations, laws and ordinances governing the conduct of persons using the facility and promptly warns users of existing safety hazards. * Safeguards and regulates the conduct of patrons. * Provides outstanding customer service. * Makes minor equipment repairs and cleans facilities as necessary. * Assists in the overall operation of facilities. * Knowledgeable of all departmental policies, procedure, rules, regulations, etc. * Gives facility tours. * Sets up and tears down equipment, including but not limited to tables, chairs, gym equipment, etc. * Prepares clear and concise written reports. * Attends staff meetings and trainings. * Performs other related duties as required. POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED: Fitness Attendant Hourly Wage Range: $14.00 to $17.50
