Position OverviewThe Senior Production Planner manages the initiation of sales orders into the production plan. Responsible for project schedule execution through the production process, executing change requests and engineering revisions. NOTE: This is not a remote position, must be local to Northwest Indiana. Converts all new sales orders from quote to production status; assigns shipping dates to sales orders that don't require assemblyManages sales order change requests, including analyzing the effect on resources, costs, and scheduleWorks with Project Execution and Customer Service on schedules for major projectsCommunicates with Shipping and Traffic to ensure expected delivery to job sitesSupports the Planning Manager to coordinate the Specials quoting processEnsures the production plan is met by monitoring demand and scheduling and working with Purchasing and Production SchedulersProcesses bill of material revisions, evaluating and communicating the impact of changes to Production Control Management, Scheduling, Customer Service, and Project ExecutionSupports the Planning Manager with the returned merchandise processSupports the Shipping Scheduler by managing the conversion and ship dates for Wynparts ordersAssists with metrics collection and reporting, including Plant Capacity report, Delivery key performance indicators and Supply and Operations Planning data collectionServes as back-up for the Planning Manager and helps train new production control employeesTakes part in internal and external training in planning and business techniquesEmployees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Wynright's QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfactionBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 7 years of manufacturing experienceMinimum of 5 years of production planning or project scheduling experienceKnowledge of MRP systems and experience with advanced user functionalityComputer skills including MS OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesTeam-oriented and collaborativeSelf-motivated USD $52,000.00USD $57,000.00
