A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care service to individuals who are developmentally and/or physically challenged. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Complies with ATC policies and procedures.• Complies with client policies and procedures.• Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.• Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with client policies and procedures.• Follows the patient's treatment plan as assigned.• Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.• Performs other duties as assigned.
