This is a permanent, part-time (15 hours per week) position. This position is open to internal employee applicants only. The Stock Clerk 2's primary responsibility is to perform a full range of support for athletic programs equipment room responsibilities including all duties related to the maintenance, laundering, inventory issuing/retrieval, sanitizing equipment, and storage of a variety of equipment. Description of Duties * Maintain proper records and inventories, in order to prepare and submit to the Director of Athletics and HPE Lead the annual end of the year inventory report. * Storing, issuing/retrieval, inventory, laundering (wash/dry) of all pinnies, game uniforms, practice gear, towels and equipment, while maintaining order and sanitary conditions of equipment areas. * Develop efficient methods of storing equipment keeping each team/sports equipment in a separate area when storing. * Develop efficient methods of dispensing and collecting equipment, and locked up). * Complete equipment request form (including deadline for return) when equipment is borrowed from others outside of our departments. * Is available for home competitions and athletic department special events during the day, in the evening and on weekends as needed. * Is available to travel to football away contests with advanced approval from the Director of Athletics. * Maintain and arrange repair of scoreboards/message boards located in Thomas Field House, Smith Field, Lawrence Field and Stern Complex. * As needed, prepares site (field, court, mats, turf) accordingly for home competitions, tournaments and athletic department special events including but not limited to washing mats, cutting grass, raking/watering fields, operation of scoreboard, audio-visual equipment and other items. * Works cooperatively with coaches, staff and faculty, while providing quality customer service to students. * Provide training, supervision and instruction of tasks to student workers to ensure accuracy and timely completion. * Check equipment room cages and storage rooms, windows, doors, etc. to ensure that the area is secure before leaving. * Responsible for abiding by the Lock Haven Overtime Policy. * Provide equipment, scoreboards, public address system, etc. for events conducted by outside groups as required. * Provide laundry services, as requested, for visiting teams involved in championships on campus as required. * Keep new COVID surgical masks available when the threat level is high or at the discretion of the HPE faculty. * Upon arrival and within the hour prior to leaving each day, check email and phone messages for equipment requests and related instructions. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and campus Faculty Lead in the Department of Middle Level, Secondary, and K-12 Education in the College of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.
