General Maintenance Technician III

Job Responsibilities This employee will be responsible for working on the Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project. Job Duties Include: * Working on Upper Coastal Waterfowl Project properties including: * Samworth, Santee Coastal, Santee Delta. * Efficiently operating a long reach trackhoe. * Constructing dikes and re-topping dikes as needed. * Maintaining trackhoe and conducting preventative maintenance. * Operating other heavy equipment as needed on the Project. * Assisting with the installation of water control structures. * Maintaining familiarity with associated properties. * Safely and efficiently barging equipment to the islands. Minimum and Additional Requirements High school diploma and four (4) years of experience in a specialized trades area. Ability to obtain a CDL and Captains license. Preferred Qualifications Ability to proficiently and safely operate a long reach trackhoe. Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to heavy equipment. Ability to work off of mats and in remote areas with the trackhoe. Ability to safely operate a boat and motor. Ability to operate bulldozer, backhoe and other heavy equipment.
