Description As an integral part of the kitchen staff, the Executive Sous Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef and assists with overseeing all restaurant operations. The Executive Sous Chef ensures that quality standards consistently exceed expectation regarding food production, kitchen service, team management, and overall guest experience. Responsibilities • Collaborates closely with Executive Chef to plan and execute all menu items on a daily basis • Controls employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, and terminations • Monitors financial information such as revenue, costs, and labor to meet budget • Places and receives orders for inventory • Lead initiatives to implement master prep sheets, order guides, and checklists, ensuring operational consistency across all kitchens. • Ensure compliance with DOH and HACCP standards by creating and monitoring SOPs. Communicate any kitchen maintenance needs to the Chef or Owner • Covering all line stations when needed • Performs any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive industry experience, including 2+ years of management experience. • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Advanced administrative and organizational skills • Strong work ethic and self-motivation • Willingness to grow and learn alongside team in fast-paced environment • Proven ability to teach and mentor kitchen staff Perks! • Health Insurance Assistance • Paid Time Off • Discounts at Sereneco Sereneco is an equal employment opportunity employer.
