Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Test and Evaluation Supervisor to join our Development Test Team in support of the Aegis Technical Representative contract. The qualified candidate will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ and provide Engineering and Technical support to the T&E Division head at AEGIS TECHREP. Candidate will join with an (USN / contractor) integrated team dedicated to providing independent quality assessments of manufacturer's developmental computer programs on behalf of the U.S. Navy. The testing will be primarily focused upon the AEGIS Weapon System, related derivatives, and select support tools as they relate to the combat system environment. The candidate with the support of the team will manage the preparation and execution of complex formal test packages that cover the full range of the systems level integration effort. This position requires the ability to supervise and direct the technical day-to-day work of personnel assigned to the T&E sub-task. The sub-task leader will also assist the Task Leader and the T&E Division Head in identifying both strategic and near-term goals and objectives, and developing technical plans and approaches to achieve the departmental goals and objectives. This individual must possess a good understanding of AEGIS at the system level. They must also have good writing skills and the ability to present ideas or positions in front of an audience. This individual must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish realistic and achievable goals, yet be flexible in order to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Specific Technical Responsibilities. Specifically, the T&E Sub-task Leader will be responsible for: * Coordinating all baseline related test efforts to ensure that * contractual requirements are met, and * that the objectives of the Navy test program are satisfied * Identifying, prioritizing, and assessing potential problems, and ensuring that the Task Leader and Navy customers are cognizant of impacts. * Identifying and assigning team members to specific baseline test activities, taking into consideration relative abilities and competencies * Coordinating and directing the efforts of the assigned baseline test teams to ensure * Technical content and accuracy of test plans, test procedures, data collection and analysis plans, and test reports * Validity of actual test conduct * Identification, procurement and allocation of resources necessary to ensure all tasks and test objectives are accomplished * Daily interface with the Task Leader and Navy customers for coordination and resolution of any problems related to technical performance * Assisting the Task Leader in administering task related jobs and functions * Test schedules * Man-loading/task projections * Developing Monthly reports * Provide the sub-task input to the T&E weekly status report. * Develop and maintain liaison with quality points of contact within each organization that T&E deals with in the pursuit of accomplishing test goals * Coordinate attendance in meetings that occur in the normal course of doing business to ensure * adequate technical coverage for the topics to be discussed * proper level of personnel for the audience * Participate in select meetings, such as the Program Reviews Specific Leadership Responsibilities. Overall responsibilities related to the subtask leadership role include: * Providing technical assistance, guidance, and problem solving to the baseline test teams * Training and qualification of each individual working the test efforts * Daily interface with the Task Leader for coordination and resolution of any problems related to personnel performance * Providing opportunities for professional and personal development and growth through judicious assignment to tasks and teams with increasing responsibilities * Planning for achievement of departmental goals and objectives Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Education requirement is a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Sciences, or acceptable technical field with a minimum of 4 years related work experience, 6 years related work experience with an Associate's Degree, or 8 years related work experience with a High School Diploma * Minimum 4 years Team Leader experience * Proven ability to use all Microsoft Office tools * Must have or be able to attain and maintain an active Secret Clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration * Active DoD Security Clearance * Test and Evaluation familiarity * US Military Experience * Technical writing and editing ability Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
