Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionGpac is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for a food manufacturer near Dayton, OH! This person will be responsible for overseeing production lines and ensuring production runs smoothly. The company is growth minded so looking for someone who has a solid background in production leadership and continuous improvement as they continue to scale! Responsibilities: Provide oversite and guidance to line operators to ensure smooth running of plant operations Meet with VP of Operations and President to work on weekly schedule of runs Oversee raw material utilization, yields, supplies and waste reduction to ensure they are being managed in the most efficient manner. Oversee production function of ERP system, ensuring that all data entry is kept up to date enabling accurate inventory management. Ensure daily paperwork is completed fully and approved Support initiatives for improvement in plant performance using established methods. Participate in daily plant management meetings Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety and cleanliness. Perform daily GMP and sanitation audits Follow GMPs, HACCP and CCPs Ensure compliance with Safety Standards and promote a safe work environment Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous production experience within food or beverage manufacturing Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and SQF, and Continuous Improvement Knowledge of production and ability to lead, develop, train, and motivate workforce while at the same time ensuring a healthy work environment and a high level of employee engagement Problem solving skills and hands on approach Maintenance skills not a requirement but highly preferred!
