Ensures safe production of quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. Promote both food and personal safety. Work Environment & Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm or until work is complete, rotating weekends required. What will you do as a Production Supervisor at Dawn Foods? * Establish and drive safety as a core value through training, equipment and job design, work assignments, and regulatory compliance. * Assures that all products produced meet product specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements. * Establish high-performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), International Food Standard (IFS), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements. * Manages daily production requirements to consistently meet customer expectations. * Evaluate team performance efficiencies and coordinate necessary resources. * Coaches, teaches, coordinates, and evaluates programs for team members to develop skills advantageous to the company's needs and goals. * Able to manage some initial employee relation matters and conflict * Participates as a key member of the plant leadership. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager. * Adhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facility. What Does It Take to be a Production Supervisor at Dawn Foods? * High School Diploma or GED required * Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree * 2 years of experience in manufacturing is required. * Food Industry experience preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of computers required. * Experience with Microsoft Office. * Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize. * Good written and verbal communication skills required. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Must be mature and have the ability to resolve issues in a timely, organized, and cost-efficient manner. * Proactive, self-directed independent worker with self-confidence.
