Job Description AECOM is looking for a Field Technician- Inspector to perform sanitary sewer inspection services in and around the Baltimore, MD area. This position is available immediately. Daily activities will include the inspection of sanitary sewer assets for various local municipalities. As a member of a 2-man crew they will locate the assets along roadways, sidewalks, and right of ways using provided mapping. Once locating the asset, the technician will open and remove the manhole cover and perform a MACP compliant inspection which will include the collection of media, measurements and condition details. The data collected will be entered into a provided software program. The technician will need to carry various tools and equipment from site to site and be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: + Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff. + Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements. + Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation. + General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. + Performs routine duties; viewed as fully competent within limits of experience. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements + Highschool Diploma + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency. + Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review. + Frequent lifting and moving of up to 60 lbs unassisted while operating manhole puller tool. + Constantly move across outdoor wooded areas, small streams and right of ways with uneven terrain and often unmarked paved surfaces to access manholes. + Constant exposure to variable outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, dryness, moisture. Additional Information + Relocation is not available for this position. + Sponsorship is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
