Expeditor

Doma Cafe is looking for a full-time Expeditor /Server to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is able to maintain a positive and friendly attitude under pressure, is focused, detail oriented, and organized. The Expeditor is an important part of the team, acting as a liaison between FOH and BOH, by managing and organizing the flow of service and organizing the team to ensure all plates leave the kitchen in a timely and safe manner, while adhering to the culinary team's standards. This is a full time position, paid hourly with prior experience in high volume service required. Candidates must be willing to work between 30-40 hours a week - Saturday and Sunday is required.  Responsibilities Set up the Expo station in an orderly and organized fashion to execute efficient operation. Strong knowledge of the menu to make sure all dishes are paced and delivered to guests in a timely manner.  Act as the liaison between the (FOH) and (BOH) team to effectively communicate information during service such as dietary restrictions, special guest requests, and to ensure an ample supply of clean plateware and serviceware. Assist in food running and packaging take out orders efficiently and timely.  Verify the quality, quantity, and presentation of each dish leaving the kitchen. Lead and foster a positive relationships between (FOH) and (BOH) teams through effective communication. Reinsure guest satisfaction and handle guest complaints satisfactorily. Follow safety and emergency procedures to safeguard staff, guests, and property Exhibit courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with the public and staff, exemplyfying a welcoming and efficient workplace environment Performs other duties as assigned by manager ie. polishing, restocking, inventory, garnishes, sauces, pastry.  Requirements Demonstrate a commitment to your role and team. Possess at least 2 years of experience as an expeditor, server, or related role. Ability to perform in a high-pressure, high volume and fast service establishment. Maintain a high standard for detail in every aspect of your role. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. Think clearly, act quickly, and maintain concentration during intense situations.
