Full Time 7:00a - 3:00p Monday-Friday 7a-3p Job Summary: Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved standards/guidelines for nursing care and within established budget parameters. Provides clinical expertise in patient placement. Communicates appropriately to define/resolve immediate problems and promote continuity of patient care. Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution. Minimum Education: Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved standards/guidelines for nursing care and within established budget parameters. Evaluates and adjusts staffing requirements. Evaluates, coaches, and counsels nursing personnel according to established policies. Monitors adherence to time and attendance policy. Provides clinical expertise in patient placement. Facilitates patient movement through assessment of patient needs and coordination of transfers. Communicates appropriately to define/resolve immediate problems and promote continuity of patient care. Communicates with staff, patients, and families to identify and resolve problems. Communicates appropriately with Administrative Supervisor, and/or ancillary departments. Communicates shift/unit activities to management as appropriate. Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution. Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient/unit situations. Monitors and evaluates standards of care. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care as necessary to meet patient needs. Assists in revision and development of policies, procedures, and established protocols. Supports SFHS goals through PI and educational activities. Identifies education/training needs of personnel. Assists in developing and implementing in-service programs and communicates needs appropriately. Participates in PI monitoring activities and assists with implementation of corrective actions. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth. Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
