The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a regular basis. Essential Function: Lubricates all equipment and fills out PM Schedules for all JFC equipment Real time electronic reporting of completed PM work orders Performs minor repairs found during PM if materials are available in stock Inspects equipment condition while performing PM for items needing repair and reports them on Work Order Request Form and to Shop Foreman Maintains shop and work areas according to TPR 6S standards Performs other duties as directed Minimum Qualifications and Required Skill: High school diploma, GED, or vocational school required. Ability to use Microsoft and Apple computer systems CDL Class B required Must have one to two years direct experience as a PM technician Must have the ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and other documents and to safely operate all company equipment, both on-road and off-road Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Ability to follow instructions from supervisors Willingness to initiate and embrace change Competencies: Knowledge of machinery and equipment operations. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software. Capability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues accurately. Creative thinking for developing effective maintenance strategies. Ability to notice minor signs of wear and tear. Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed to high standards. Clear reporting of maintenance findings and recommendations. Effective collaboration with other team members and departments. Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Proactive in identifying potential hazards and mitigating risks. Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Walking includes moving within an office environment.
