CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Customer Services Representative in the Administrative Department. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing coordination of the Support Services Pool by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company functions to effectively schedule assessments and provide support services to internal and external clients.THE POSITIONCareStar is looking for motivated individuals who/to:Completes calls to assess eligibility of participants according to program-specific criteria and timeframes. Refers non-eligible participants to appropriate community resources.Explains criteria and application process for applicable waiver programs, Medicaid Services and other community programs to callers in need of services.Adheres to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure confidentiality of both consumer and employee information.Sends documents to consumers, home care team members, and callers with 100% accuracy to ensure HIPAA compliance; this includes all clinical documentation, waiver applications and instructions.Investigates returned documents for correct addresses; updates consumer database and/or notifies case manager of needed changes or inability to obtain correct information; notifies provider management of changes needed in the provider database.Emails accurate, complete information from callers to company employees as needed; accurately documents all calls in company electronic Caller Log per protocol.Participates in, and occasionally leads, cross-training efforts to ensure adequate coverage for all administrative services tasks.Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.High School Graduate or GED equivalent, with knowledge of medical terminology.At least one (1) year of experience in telephone customer service (multi-line, high call volume) and data entry preferred.Ability to provide excellent customer service, including effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, independently and as part of a team.THE LOCATIONThis position is open in Cincinnati, Ohio.
