Job Description/Position Overview : The Maitre d' ensures that the first and last impression our guests encounter sets a standard of warmth, welcoming, communication, energy, and spirit, and encourages the team of hostess to hold the same standard of service. Qualifications: Customer service oriented with an outgoing, upbeat, and positive personality. Leadership qualities and a well-groomed appearance. Ability to work in a team and independently. Ability to successfully work in a fast paced environment. Ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, guests, vendors, and employees. Must have a flexible work schedule and be able to accommodate work schedules based on business needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides fast, friendly, and professional customer service to all guests- verbally greeting and welcoming everyone upon entering, with a smile and eye contact. Full understanding of RESY program and consistent maintenance throughout shifts worked. Successfully managing a team of hostesses. Invites and welcomes guests back upon completion of their visit. Recognizing and identifying repeat guests, and VIPs. Accommodates guests needs, i.e. wheel chair, restrooms, movement of drinks from one location to another, etc. Communicates guest's complaints, compliments, or specific needs to management. Walks the floor and provides updates to management regarding number of open tables, open menus, etc. Ensures that guest seating is rotated between all service stations. Must be knowledgeable about the company, location, and all food and beverage menus. Answers telephone and or emails taking new reservations and maintaining current reservations within procedural outlines. Perform all reasonable requests by General Manager and management team. Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions. Follow all sign in and out procedures for keys if applicable. Follow proper timekeeping policies and procedures. Maintain standards of hygiene and sanitation. Follow Health Department's standards for hygiene and food safe food handling. Report to work on time on regular basis. In case of absences or tardiness, follow proper call out procedures. Wear appropriate uniforms / dress code and follow company Standards of Appearance.
