Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description Provides for smooth operation of the department by repairing and maintaining fixtures, appliances, machinery and all HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, FCU's and AHU's. Job Responsibility * * Performs general maintenance. * Observes mechanical equipment for proper operation and determines if repair is needed. * Dismantles, repairs and rebuilds devices after detection of improper operation Called PM preventative maintenance. * Keeps record of all repairs and the materials used. * Responds to emergency situations and assists or leads in emergency resolution to bring equipment back to operation. * Reads blue prints, diagrams, operation manuals and MSDS sheets to diagnose problems and comply with manufactures specifications. * Performs fire equipment inspection to manufactures specifications. * Responds to fire drills. * Operates emergency generators and automatic transfer switches. * Operates and maintains hand and power tools in accordance with procedures. * Performs related duties, as required. * ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification * High School Diploma or equivalent, required. * Vocational school training certificate in any of the following areas: HVAC, Carpentry or Plumbing, preferred. * Valid New York State driver's license, required.Federal CFC certificate (Universal), preferred. * Minimum of three (3) years as a mechanic in related field. * Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
