Forklift Operator

Job Summary:The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and push-pull equipment to load and unload trucks, prepare shipment paperwork, and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse. This role includes assisting with pallet stacking, using a stretch wrapper, and ensuring compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The Forklift Operator will also support the foremen in various assigned duties while adhering to company safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate forklifts and push-pull equipment to load and unload trucksPrepare and distribute accurate shipment paperworkLift up to 50 lbs regularlyOperate a sweeper to maintain warehouse cleanlinessStack and restack pallets as neededAssist with the operation of a stretch wrapperSupport foremen in assigned tasks and ensure compliance with safety/work rules and GMPsRequired Qualifications:Knowledge of forklift operations and push-pull equipmentBasic math skills and a good attendance recordAbility to speak, read, and write English; bilingual skills are a plusPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of bill of ladingPhysical Requirements:Ability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periodsWillingness to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levelsAbility to lift, stoop, climb, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbsFlexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, and off-hours for emergencies
