Assistant General Manager

Bistro Cacao has been serving modern French Cuisine in their Capitol Hill location since 2009. We are looking for a result oriented, customer driven Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team.  The Position: Restaurant Assistant General Manager Oversee all aspects of front-of-house service and maintain and improve on restaurant's service standards in every way Hold team accountable for company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff Oversee and ensure that all company systems and policies are maintained  Be attentive to all guests and managers while on the floor creating a great guest experience for all. Make sure all new employees go through the proper training and have all the necessary tools to be successful in their position. Manage weekly schedule for front of the house personnel Assist the General Manager in all forecasting and budgeting. Provides consultation to the Executive Chef on adjustments needed on our seasonal menu Manages all third party systems including POS. Manage reservations book to ensure revenue is maximized and turn times are met Manage and improve guest notes in the reservations book to build customer database Support and build team culture through training sessions, service education, and performance reviews What we are looking for: Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service At least 5 years of experience in restaurant business and 3 years in management position, preferably in a fine dining French Restaurant Great verbal and written communication skills Provides guests with exceptional service and value Preferred Skills: ABRA Managers License  PandL management experience Staff management and Training of 20+ employees Understanding of HR compliance Payroll and Scheduling experience Comprehensive Package Including: Competitive Salary + Health Insurance  + Paid Vacation and Sick Time + Quarterly Bonus Program + Referral bonus programs +  Potential for a growth to become a General Manager + Dining Discounts Location: This position is located in Washington, DC Bistro Cacao is an Equal Opportunity Employer
