We are looking for an energetic, dedicated Manager for our all-day restaurant, cafe, and cocktail bar. Located in Rittenhouse Square, Enswell is an award winning restaurant, bar, and cafe built on friendship, food and expertly-crafted cocktails. Position Summary: The Front of House (FOH) Manager oversees all functions at the front of Enswell, including the reception area, indoor and outdoor dining areas, coffee and cocktail bar. They are responsible for ensuring excellent guest service, managing the staff on duty, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following - Guest Service: â— Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service. â— Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly. â— Monitor ambiance and service standards. Staff Management: â— Recruit, train, and supervise FOH staff (servers, hosts/hostesses, bartenders). â— Schedule FOH staff and manage labor costs effectively. â— Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff. Operational Efficiency: â— Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and FOH staff. â— Oversee seating assignments and reservations. â— Manage inventory and supplies related to FOH operations. Financial Management: â— Monitor sales and revenue, and implement strategies to maximize profitability. â— Control costs and minimize waste without sacrificing quality. â— Prepare reports on sales, labor, and other financial aspects as required. Compliance and Safety: â— Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. â— Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in all FOH areas. â— Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service. Communication: â— Strong communication is essential, coordinating with other kitchen staff, waitstaff, and the head chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) â— Proven experience as a FOH Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry. â— Strong leadership and organizational skills. â— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. â— Ability to multitask and work well under pressure. â— Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software. â— Understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations. â— The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and often high-stress environment. â— Strong problem-solving skills. â— Certification in food handling and alcohol service (depending on local regulations)
