Maintenance Technician

HiFyve is hiring a Plant Maintenance Mechanic in the food and beverage manufacturing industry in Woodbury, MN!Salary: $32.00 - $34.00+/hourShift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Third Shift)Location: Woodbury, MNJob Duties and Responsibilities:Perform both planned and emergency maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including production, packaging, and processing systems.Operate and maintain utility systems, ensuring continuous supply of essential services like heat, steam, cooling, and electrical power.Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, utilizing technical manuals, electrical schematics, and work orders.Conduct preventative maintenance and document activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Support line manufacturing systems, such as ozone, lube, chemical, and ingredient delivery.Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment for maintenance tasks.Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.Follow all safety protocols, including lockout-tagout, PPE requirements, and confined space safety.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.Report food safety or quality concerns to management and perform other assigned duties as needed.Education Requirements:High School Diploma or GED preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.Technical expertise in areas such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and HVAC systems.Experience working with various equipment types, including motor control, process control, and packaging machinery.Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred.Ability to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues independently.Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds in a wet and noisy environment.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.Must pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks.If you are interested, please apply!
