Our Show Audio Supervisor serves as both an internal "expert" in his/her field, as well as a leader and mentor for our entertainment technical Team Members. This position assists with design and specification of A/V projects, and serves as a hands-on leader for the integration, installation, and operational teams that continue to maintain both creative design and equipment maintenance. What you get to do: * Performs research, development, installation, and execution of all Audio/Multimedia Technology. * Collaborates with Entertainment Production/Operations, Theming, and Entertainment Services teams to achieve project goals and objectives. * Coordinates and oversees all outside Audio/Multimedia Technology contractors. * Learn, document, and maintain expertise on all show related A/V systems and technology. * Maintains all theatre and Audio/Multimedia technology facilities, equipment maintenance (PM's), and repairs. * Assists with the hiring of show Audio technicians, and executes specialized Audio training for technicians, show audio operators - to include documentation of training. * Maintain inventory of Audio/Multi-media equipment and systems. * Oversees Audio/Multi-media Technology expense budgets that align with Park and Departmental objectives. * Coordinates Audio/Multi-media Technology project timelines to ensure park and departmental goals, safety targets and objectives are obtained. * Maintains A/V Equipment. To include repairs of cables, speakers, amplifiers. and PM's of A/V equipment related to Show related A/V systems as needed. * Performs / Oversees all Audio Recordings, Editing as needed. * Assists with the Set Up of Special Event A/V, to include actual set up / installations of A/V equipment. * Follows department and park safety guidelines. * Participates in Entertainment Services department training programs. * Participates in other duties as assigned that support park, departmental goals and objectives, and as 880 Duty as needed. What it takes to succeed: * Must be a proven hands-on team leader willing to work side-by-side with your team and develop Team members through positive reinforcement and a great attitude. * Must be a great partner working with other professionals throughout entertainment. * Must serve as a "business owner" always acting in the best interest of BGW/SEA by fostering great relationships with vendors, negotiating the best costs for services and equipment, managing assigned budgets, schedules, and resources as directed. * Must be committed to continued professional development in your area(s) of expertise by learning from other BGW team members, as well as personal development through continued education and/or practical experience. * Must have at least 4 years' experience with professional audio recording and editing software (Pro Tools or similar). * Must be highly skilled with programming of professional audio mixing consoles for live performance. * Must have advanced experience with theatrical show-control programming (Qlab, Coolux, or similar). * Must have advanced experience with digital audio I.P. routing systems (QSC or similar). * Must have proven experience in audio system design, specification, and optimization. * Must be proficient with microphone selection for multiple live and recording environments (i.e. Musical Theater, Concert, Live Event, Recording Studio vs. Live Stage Recording, etc.). * Must be proficient with wireless systems including microphones, ITCM, In-Ear Monitors, etc.). * Must be proficient with equipment testing and repairs including, but not limited to, soldering, troubleshooting, problem solving, use of A/V test and measurement equipment, cable pulls, speaker repair, microphone repair, etc. * Must be able to create and maintain system documentation for all assigned projects (AutoCAD, VectorWorks, or similar). * Experience with video editing and rendering software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar), and video content delivery, servers, switches, and signal flow would be considered a plus. Experience Required: * Associates or BA in Technical Theatre, A/V Technical Design, or equivalent professional experience. * Budgeting / Financial related experience preferred. * 2 years professional technical entertainment experience preferred. * 2 years professional A/V technical work experience preferred. * 4 years Professional Technical related experience preferred. * 4 years of Hands-on Audio, Soldering, Computer, Repairs, Troubleshooting, Audio recording work experience preferred. * Ability to perform outdoor work in temperature extremes required. * Valid VA Driver's License. * OSHA, NEC, NFPA and IBC familiarity. * Proven strong communication skills; positive attitude, team player; good negotiation abilities, collaboration skills, and problem solving skills.
