GENERAL SUMMARY Under the supervision of the golf course superintendent or assistant golf course superintendent, is responsible for the programming, operation and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system(s). The irrigation specialist is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the superintendent or assistant superintendent. All associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to all members and guests and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS * Learn and apply the company's standard operating procedures. * Waters greens, tees and fairways. * Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water. * Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed. * Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies. * Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds greens, tees and fairways. * Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris. * Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor. * Greet members and guests through-out the property. * Understand and anticipate the needs of the property. * Be attentive and listen carefully to the member's and follow through. * Follow up as required and communicate in a timely manner. * Be an active participant in events, programs, meetings and training. * Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response. * Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings.
