About The Opportunity The Strategic Project Manager will project manage projects and initiatives that are part of the ORBIS strategic plan and have long-term, high impact business implications. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. 2. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. 3. Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Report and escalate to leadership as needed. 4. Implementation and management of effective risk management process through the project life cycle. 5. Manage project documentation to include project status updates (frequency determined by project) and post-project checks to ensure the quality of deliverables and adherence to guidelines. Implement and manage lessons learned and best practices. 6. Ensure safe work practices are followed and safety reviews are conducted as required. 7. Ensure project team is following and using ORBIS standard project management tools. 8. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement while managing strategic projects. 9. Managing and building relationships and project skills within project team and associated stakeholders. 10. Assist PMO Manager with corporate level Project Management training materials, training curriculum and facilitating annual training sessions. Two companies, one vision.
