Restaurant Service Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a dining establishment . This position involves overseeing the front-of-house activities, managing staff, and ensuring that customers have a pleasant dining experience. Reports to the General Manager Salary 75K to 80K Responsibilities: Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and profitability. Manage reservations and table allocations to maximize seating and customer satisfaction. Ensure that the restaurant environment is clean, safe, and welcoming. Staff Supervision and Development: Hire, train, and manage all front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff performance. Organize regular staff meetings to discuss updates, address issues, and motivate the team. Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints with diplomacy and professionalism to maintain a positive reputation. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times. Build relationships with regular customers and greet VIP guests personally. Financial Management: Assist in setting budgetary and financial targets. Monitor daily receipts and expenditures. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste. Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, and service levels. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar managerial role. Strong understanding of restaurant management software and point of sale (POS) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong organizational skills with the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local health and safety regulations for food service establishments. A hospitality management degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
