We are looking for passionate and dedicated HOSTS/HOSTESSES to join the opening team. Host / Hostess Responsibilities include: Exhibit proficient knowledge of the restaurant's menus, culinary style, concept, reservations policies, operating hours, and other facts about the restaurant Answer phones and communicate live with guests in a professional, warm and courteous manner, using verbiage and scripts set by management, and be able to handle variety of interactions, including but not limited to reservations, confirmation calls, guest reservation requests, addressing basic guest inquiries, and handling delivery-related matters Greet guests upon arrival or who pass within 5 feet with a smile, "hello", and friendly disposition Navigate Sevenrooms platform and client database proficiently to both maximize seating for reservations and walk in guests and to greet guests by name; disseminate all pertinent guest information needed to other staff members and management via soignees; must also diligently update any expressed guest preferences in guest profiles per management guidelines Communicate frequently and effectively with managers about any updates in the dining room Assist management team with light administrative tasks and organization of restaurant spaces such as office spaces, coat check, and host stands/podiums. Respond immediately to guests needs and requests, and promptly communicate any guest concerns with management Report to work punctually as indicated on the schedule and in the correct, clean uniform, while adhering to personal hygiene standards Host / Hostess Qualifications and Necessary Skills: Substantive host or reservationist experience required Strong restaurant and food knowledge with attention to detail and high proficiency with table management software Proficiency with basic restaurant technology, such as POS and delivery tablets, a plus Genuine passion for restaurant hospitality and service Energetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and to support colleagues regardless of role, and a positive communication style. Willingness to embrace change and innovation, and to learn and adapt to new systems and service steps Broad and flexible availability to work Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallwares, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time What We offer At Altamarea Group, we are committed to creating a supportive and professionally rewarding work environment for all of our team members.
