New York Times Three Star restaurant il Buco Alimentari and Vineria currently has exciting opportunities! il Buco Alimentari is a Mediterranean restaurant with an in-house market which features housemade salumi, fresh pastas, and fresh bread programs as well as imported cheeses and miscellaneous imported retail products. As a Host, you will play a cruicial role in the guest experience. You are the first and last person that guests see as they enter and leave the restaurant, therefore your demeanor and how you interact in the environment is extremely important. Essential Funcitons: Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and handle all coat check inquiries Assist guests with reservations and seating Phone etiquette Responsible for basic knowledge of the restaurant i.e. hours of operation, brand and sister restaurant information, all menus, and awareness of the neighborhood, etc. Excellent communication skills with management, kitchen, service team and bar Organized and efficient Gain a knowledge of regulars and PPX Have an understanding of seating and managing the flow of service REQUIRED: 1-2 years experience in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant Available to work weekends and holidays Experience with Resy, or comparable reservation system Excellent communication and problem solving skills Able to maintain a professional, yet welcoming and friendly demeanor at all times Please provide 2 professional references when applying Enjoy a fun, family-oriented environment.
