The Director of Events at KYU plays a critical role in overseeing and securing events for all KYU locations, including Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and our upcoming Los Angeles location in 2025. Based in New York, this position will involve on-site presence at our New York location for event coordination and client meetings, with minimal management duties and occasional floor presence to ensure the smooth running of events. This role will manage and grow KYU's event portfolio, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience across all locations. Responsibilities : • Oversee and secure events for KYU locations in Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles (2025). • Develop and implement strategies to drive event bookings and revenue across all locations. • Manage event planning, logistics, and execution, ensuring top-notch service and communication with clients. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to enhance KYU's event offerings. • Collaborate with management and staff across all locations to ensure event success and consistency. • Act as the point person for all event-related activities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. • Minimal management duties and floor presence at the New York location to support event operations. Location Requirements: • This position is based in New York, where one of our KYU locations is located. • It requires on-site presence for event coordination and floor support at the New York location. Compensation: • This is a salaried position with the opportunity to earn commissions based on event bookings and performance. Qualifications : • 7 to 10+ years of experience in event management, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry. • Proven experience in overseeing and coordinating large-scale events. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple events across various locations. • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and manage client expectations. • Flexibility to travel to other KYU locations as needed. • Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office, and relevant digital tools.
