Maintenance Mechanic

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: * Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. * Mechanical repairs of patient/resident equipment (beds, wheel chairs, bedside tables, gurneys and other hospital and extended care equipment) * Service work - Including but not limited to: * Electrical repair or replacement of light receptacles(bulb/ballast replacements) * Plumbing maintenance and repair.(clogged stools, clogged sinks, etc.) * Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts and small appliances. * Minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs. * Inspection/Repair of both manual and automatic doors * Preventative maintenance - Including but not limited to: * Air Handler/Exhaust Fan Preventative Maintenance * Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance * Pnuematic Tube System Preventative Maintenance * TJC Building Inspections * * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) * Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire. * Valid Drivers License, must meet Mercy's motor vehicle standards * Working Knowledge of basic hand tools * 1-2 years of general maintenance experience(preferred * Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
