Shipping Clerk

Description As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare product for shipment. Requirements Great Career Opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy! Duties and Responsibilities: * Sort and organize completed prescriptions * Use Pharmacy operating software and Dispatch and Routing software * Use handheld Scanner to capture bar code digital information * Prepare packages for delivery: print Packing Lists, inspect for accuracy, stage, and route * Performing other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: * Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team * Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping * Work to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department * Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the Facilities we serve * Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications * Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions * Ability to complete projects in a timely manner * Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance * FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus * Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus Physical Requirements: * Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times Tarrytown is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
