Job Summary: The Government Account Executive will develop sales leads through industry publications, client referrals, sales leads, Salesforce, and internet research."¯ The Account Executive will focus on sales and marketing in their assigned market, which typically involves extensive database management, preparing documents for clients, support of the sales goals and lead generation through various industry sources."¯ The Account Executive will also be responsible for negotiating, creating, and overseeing execution of sales contracts and RFPs for the various government entities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in navigating government procurement processes, building relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets within the public sector. In addition to navigating government procurement, this candidate will also be required to successfully train, support and manage channel partners relationships. Duties/Responsibilities: * Responsible for achieving established revenue targets through channel partner. * Responsible for maintaining positive and engaging relationships with channel partner. * Educate partners on our services and products and provide ongoing training, including webinars, presentations, meetings, materials, etc. * Measure and report on the performance of channel partners, using metrics such as activity, quotes, sales, and revenue. * Submit activity and result reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analyses. * Document activities in the CRM/Salesforce according to SOP. * Collaborate with channel partner to develop a pipeline of initiatives to increase sales * Collaborate with the internal sales team to ensure success with peer accountability through Key Performance Indicators and continuous training on how to sell through channel partners. * Develop and maintain strong client and channel partner relationships. * Engage in onsite client meetings and presentations. * Develop client facing sales presentations, quotes, and proposals. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies. * Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, clients, and staff. * Maintain professional, timely communication with customers. * Consistent focus on meeting or exceeding sales goals. * Closing skills. * Self-starter, excellent listener and completes tasks independently and efficiently and with limited direction. * Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company. * Requires travel up to 50% Requirements and Preferred Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of experience in government sales or a related field, with a strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations. * Familiarity with government contracts, compliance requirements, and the ability to navigate complex bureaucratic environments. * Experience with government e-procurement systems is advantageous. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders. * Experience selling through channel partners preferred * Experience selling services to Government and/or Higher Education preferred. * Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners to the point they become your advocate * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to partners and stakeholders. * Ability to professionally interact with clients, staff and channel partners along with the ability to build relationships. * Professional presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar. * Territory management experience, prospecting skills, and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in Salesforce (Preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Education: * Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Public Administration, or 3-5 years' experience in a related field. * An advanced degree or certification related to government sales is a plus.
