Description The Inventory Accountant will support the Accounting Team to help achieve the financial and operational goals of the department and company. This role will enjoy a mix of both accounting and finance duties as well the opportunity to collaborate with operational team members and participate in special projects, focused on analytics and process improvements, to drive efficiencies for the company. We are looking for someone who can support our accounting reporting process, assist with the monthly accounting close cycle and other accounting duties to play a key role in achieving our financial results. This role requires someone who is very organized and analytical with great time management skills, as well as comfortable leveraging technology, such as Excel, ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities ACCOUNTING * Intercompany o Invoicing of product to international SodaStream companies o Process chargebacks to other markets o Confirm goods in transit containers received each month and match to general ledger o Work with Ops on Stock Transactions between markets and HQ Finance sends invoice or credit to both sides. * Warehouse o Cost Inventory for new items. o Manage BOM Changes o Yearly Cost Changes * Partner in monthly close process to determine and submit: o Review COS accounts o Execute intercompany reconciliations o Reconcile inventory accounts with inventory reports. o Internal Audit requests and support, as needed REPORTING * Track and update worksheet for rework and plant expenses monthly * Work with Ops team to make sure manual transactions are internal controls compliant. * Monitor as finance partner the 2x a year physical inventory counts for all warehouses. * Help manage and support internal control processes around inventory cycle to produce sustainable results. * Partner with team members and department leaders to analyze processes, manage programs, and build efficient reports that produce key insights into our work and can help the operations and finance teams make decisions. * Other projects and duties as assigned Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required * Minimum of two to four years related Accounting and Finance experience * Intermediate or Advanced excel user, proficiency in computerized accounting applications * Prior ERP systems (especially Oracle, NetSuite, Cognos) experience preferred * Very organized with excellent attention to detail. * Prior Experience with inventory accounting preferred * Skill in working on multiple tasks and projects concurrently and in ensuring coordination and integration among related efforts requiring attention to detail in planning and scheduling. * Excellent communicator and facilitator. Dynamic, energetic and self-motivated with strong interpersonal, persuasion and facilitation skills with people of various levels, backgrounds and personalities. Need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and instructional design expertise. * Proven systems thinking and problem-solving skills applied to technology training work. * Demonstrated passion for personal continuous learning and continuous improvement required.
