Do you wish to be one of the "Go To" persons on your team?BGF Industries in Cheraw is hiring for Machine Maintenance Mechanic on Third shift.Must conduct your work in a safe manner, following all company required safe work rules. Report any accidents near misses and or unsafe conditions immediately. Attend all required safety training. Maintain all safety aspects of the looms i.e. all control buttons, safety guards.Manage and maintain a set of looms on any given week and help where needed, if needed by others.Ensure that looms run to optimum efficiency for the fabric style being produced.Place gears into looms and prepare everything needed for the weaving function to commence.Ensure accurate start-up of new warps, checking construction, design against production sheet and passing standard.Ensure that the quality checklist is completed, and tickets signed for each new warp.Perform general maintenance of the looms - in response to breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance in line with the company's preventative maintenance program.Recording parts that have been fitted onto the machine, during your shift period and the current stock level. Document any repairs/adjustments carried out to looms or the work carried out/parts fitted and record on the card on each loom.Make routine inspections of all the looms to ensure the absence of faults.Identify and rectify faults diagnosed as quickly as possible to get the equipment back up and running.Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained within the weaving areas.Watch for and timely proceed to looms flagged by the weaver.Mechanical aptitude necessary - must successfully pass mechanical aptitude test to be considered for these positions. High school diploma or GED required.Demonstrated experience in machinery repair/troubleshooting is necessary to be considered for this job.
