Walter USA in Cleveland, OH is looking for a Production SupervisorWalter USA, LLC is a leader in offering an ever-expanding product line of high-end quality end mills and other cutting tools such as new countersinks, drills, thread mills and other high performance specialty tools. We are a growing producer of cutting tools used in metalworking for end mills and drills. The Production Supervisor oversees all Warehouse, OD Grind, Turning, Milling and Coating operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. The candidate will supervise and continuously improve all inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movement.What will I be doing?Supervision, training, and direct assistance of Production Manager which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, order pulling, packing, coating, etching, edge-prep, scheduling, coaching and inventory control.Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement while also holding employees accountable to company standards.Ensure proper upkeep too all equipment is met to standard including printers, pc's, coating, OD machines, Turning/Milling machines, and edge-prep machines.Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system including on hand inventory and consumables.Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Production Manager on a daily/weekly basis.Your ProfileRequired Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery. Excellent supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs. Experience in machining and/or logistic environment.Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior exceptional work experience with the company preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to traverse the production facility. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
