Associates degree, preferred.One (1) year service experience working as a LVN or LPT in a behavioral health fieldOne (1) year medication administration experience required.Valid California LVN or LPT license.Current CPR certification.How you will make a difference (job overview):The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (Nurse) assists with medication support services provided by the psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant. Medication support services may include, but are not limited to; med support appointments, taking vitals, medication education, medication management support and/or administration, including injections. Follow up communication, tracking and documentation for labs, prescriptions and appointments. provides direct client care including medications and basic medical intervention and education, following standard nursing practices.Division/Program Overview: The program sees adults (18+) and older adults. It is a FULLY community-based program - all services happen at a person's home or community. The clients have complex needs - medication, housing, vocational, independent living and mental health. The intensity for services for each client is about 10 hours per month and once we are fully up and running, we'll have a census of about 50 adults. We are preparing to also start an Adult Outpatient Program which this position would oversee as well.
