Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer

We are currently seeking a reliable, highly organized and technically savvy Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer. This position will require travel between Everett, Seattle, SeaTac and Olympia. Current cost for family medical coverage is $12.94 a month for Gold level coverage. * 401k with match offered after qualification period * Employee discounts at hotels worldwide * Washington State Paid Sick Leave * Vacation time accrued based on hours worked * Free parking * 10 paid holidays each year Essential Job Functions: * This position will serve as next level support for maintenance needs at the hotels we work with. * Must be able to perform minor carpentry tasks. * Perform hands-on maintenance to guest rooms and hotel equipment (painting, wall vinyl repair, basic plumbing) and be able to delegate tasks to subordinates. * Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. * Know when a task is beyond the skill level or current capacity of hotel staff and to seek outside help, such as contractor. * Obtain multiple bids from contractors and manage contractors on site through completion. * Able to react quickly and make decision for expensive repairs as-need, mitigating guest impact. * Manage and delegate to employees to ensure multiple tasks are being completed in a timely manner. * Able to meet all deadlines in regard to brand and company standards. * Provide a safe working environment. Qualifications: * Ability to meet deadlines with little or no supervision. * Must have vehicle and be willing to commute between Everett, Seattle, SeaTac, Olympia and Poulsbo. Must have driving record that qualifies with Company policy Salary: This is an hourly paid position, eligible for overtime. Wage will start between $30-40 depending on experience and qualifications. Additional reimbursement for mileage and phone use is negotiable.
