OverviewLifestyle Apartments at Shreveport is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8a-5p; rotational on-call weekend shifts Job Type: Full-timeCompensation: Hourly; commensurate with experience About you:3 years experience in apartment complex maintenance preferredGeneral knowledge of plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairEPA Certified is a bonusAbility to problem solveOrganized: technicians will support the ordering, tracking, and management of inventory Positive attitude with strong verbal communication skills: will work with a variety of staff, residents, and vendorsAvailable for duty on a rotational basis for after-hours emergencyCore Responsibilities: Included but not limited to:Responds to all assigned maintenance work orders during the regular day, giving priority to any emergencyResolves all maintenance problems that arise during the work dayReports any repair problems that cannot be fixed during the work day to the Property ManagerCompletes regularly scheduled maintenance activities as assigned by the Property Manager.Performs general clean-up of the apartment community on an "overload"Reports all acts of vandalism, destruction of property, and suspicious persons observed within the community to the Property Manager or other designated leaderAssists Property Manager in maintaining all electrical, plumbing, appliances, and mechanicalKeeps shop and storage areas in neat and well-organizedCompletes apartment turns as needed Completes grounds work as directed by Property Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping bedsAssists in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractorsMaintains a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors and fellowAssures safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and FederalEnsures compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent
