Production Supervisor

Decatur Diamond, LLC is a privately held, US manufacturer of diamond-based, precision cutting tools. We are seeking a qualified Production Supervisor for our production facility located in Decatur, Indiana. This person will be responsible primarily for the cost-effective utilization of manpower and capital resources required to operate a group of manufacturing departments.Decatur Diamond has a broad offering of diamond-based tools in the industry. Our products include, but are not limited to the Ultra Mill milling cutter and associated diamond-based cartridges and inserts, fixed-pocket brazed tools, CVD coated solid carbide rounds and inserts, as well as very high precision, diamond based-complex rounds, (e.g., automotive reamers, valve seat and guide tools, etc.) Decatur Diamond offers an excellent benefit package including:Medical, Dental, Vision Life Insurance, paid Holidays/PTO, 401(k) including both base and Company matching contributions, Short-Term Disability Insurance, Long-Term Disability Insurance and Life InsuranceRESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise the production activity within the assigned manufacturing departments to achieve a level of daily quality and throughput.Ensure the timely completion of quality audits in assigned manufacturing departments.Interpret and supervise special work requirements.Enforce all Company regulations and policies, especially those relating to safety.Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate to the position.REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate1 year of supervisory experience. 3 years of manufacturing experience. Must be computer proficient and have good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to prioritize workloadSelf-starter with a desire to improve productionVery well organizedExcellent attention to detailAbility to effectively manage and motivate personnel
