NANI's scope of care and services includes difficult-to-control hypertension, kidney disease, kidney injury, kidney transplant, and related services, as well as groundbreaking and lifesaving clinical research and consulting services.Join Our Team!NANI is seeking a professional, reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. Benefits including a great schedule (no weekends), health, dental, 401k, generous Paid Time Off, and great working conditions.As Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for a variety of customer service functions for our medical practice, including corresponding with patients to answer their inquiries about invoices, explanation of benefits, and account balance to build and reinforce patient satisfaction and trust.What You'll Do:Maintains a high level of customer service through friendly and professional communication with patients, internal & external customers.Corresponds with patients via telephone and email and answers patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Frequently utilizes a computer system to track, gather information, and troubleshoot issues raised by patients.Researches customer information on multiple health insurance portals. Verifies patient health insurance benefits and assist with patient billing inquiries.Accurately analyzes account activity to determine and communicate correct balances to the patient.Successfully resolves patient concerns by finding the best possible solutions.Performs other duties as assigned.Skills for Success as Customer Service RepresentativeHigh school diploma or equivalent.2+ years of prior related experience or training.Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance guidelines and requirements. Able to read and understand payer explanation of benefits. Familiar with complex claims denial reasons.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.Must be a self-starter who can work independently yet function in a highly collaborative, fast paced, team environment.High integrity, team player with patient service focus and flexibility. Actively contributes to a positive, collaborative environment.Must be able to operate all required job-related equipment to include but not limited to computer, fax, phone, and copier.
