Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform evaluation and repairs to various models of Teledyne Marine Systems equipment and accessories. * Disassembly and perform analysis of required repairs. * Document findings and compare with customer reported issues. * Enter data into Salesforce case records, define parts required and enter into IFS Shop Order. * Assist in generation of revised service quotation based on work to be performed, if required * Once approved by customer, complete repairs, perform testing to verify repair results and review final work with Quality Assurance for the final inspection and sign-off * Assist as needed, with movement of work between shipping and receiving * Communicate with customers via phone or email when required to clarify repairs, answer customer questions, and to update customers on the status of repairs * Work with various levels within the organization on priorities and customer support requirements regarding service needs * Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US National, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees) Education and Experience: * 5+ years of experience in a repair, technical support, or military technical training environment; Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or combination of experience and education * Technical background with proven software, electrical, and electro-mechanical skills * Advanced troubleshooting & problem-solving techniques Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Capable of troubleshooting problems down to the component level * Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Power Point, Access * Excellent written/verbal communication skills & meticulous attention to detail * Enjoys working in a fast-paced multi-task environment * Ability to interact in person and by phone/email with a global customer base * Aptitude to understand a diverse portfolio of ocean technology products and parts Supervisory Responsibilities: * None Training Requirements: * F43-011 Soldering Chemistry * 443-007 Wire Ferrules Training * F43-003 O-Ring Training * F43-001 Pressure Tester Training Certification * F42-345 Incoming Inspection and Test Training Module * IFS training * HSE/Quality Overview * Teledyne Ethics/Harassment * Hazardous Communications Personal Protective Equipment: * The use of Safety Glasses is required throughout all production areas of the facility * Safety shoes as required per TMS policy The physical/mental demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
