The Production Supervisor manages the day-to-day coffee packaging operations and supports the Roasting department, working closely with quality assurance, maintenance, and fulfillment teams to ensure safe, efficient production while upholding strict product quality standards. The role contributes to the development of the manufacturing Strategic Plan and requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities include developing, coaching, and training team members to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and cost savings. This full-time, exempt position requires schedule flexibility to cover various shifts. What You Will Do: * Manage day-to-day operations of the packaging department, ensuring smooth workflow, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to company standards. * Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to develop and implement efficient packaging processes. * Own the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) program, ensuring that the team is trained in routine equipment care, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize machinery performance. * Lead and supervise a team of packaging associates, including scheduling, training, and performance management. * Foster a positive, results-driven team environment with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. * Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training programs for new packaging employees. * Ensure that all packaging complies with Peet's Coffee quality and food safety standards. * Perform regular quality checks and work with the quality control team to Root Cause and address any issues. * Identify areas for process optimization and collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager to implement new strategies. * Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and drive packaging excellence. * Collaborate on the AM program's continuous improvement, reviewing performance data, updating training plans, and refining maintenance procedures as needed. * Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and applicable government standards (FDA, OSHA, etc.). * Actively promote a culture of safety by conducting regular safety training and inspections Who You Are: * 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production/warehouse environment, or 4-7 years of experience in Peet's Roasting Plant with a history of consistently exceeding job expectations and acting as a role model for other employees * Knowledgeable in continuous improvement and quality methodologies (i.e. lean, six-sigma); green or black belt certified a plus * Knowledgeable in Autonomous Maintenance * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. * Experience leading cross-functional projects * Operating knowledge of packaging equipment and vertical form, fill, and seal machinery along with good technical skills and the ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills. * Must be safety and quality minded, initiative-taking, analytical and results oriented. * Ability to prioritize, plan, multi-function and manage time efficiently. * Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, production management tools, D365 and reporting systems. * BA/BS preferred What Benefits do Peetniks Receive? The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
