Maintenance Technician

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Operations Manager. The primary role of the Maintenance Technician is to perform routine maintenance/cleaning at assigned locations per the schedule in OpenWash as well as observe/report any issues found during the visit. This position will work closely with the Head Equipment Technician and Operations Manager to ensure all sites are performing at optimal levels and minimize any potential downtime. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Travel between locations to perform routine scheduled maintenance per Open Wash schedule * Keep detailed documentation on all maintenance and repairs * Assist as needed in installations at new locations * Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions * Effectively communicate and issue/repair status to management * Perform regular cleaning at sites as scheduled KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Ability to work in a face-paced highly communicative team environment o Willing to learn and adapt new processes and procedures o Excellent time management, and willingness to be flexible to occasionally attend to after-hours service calls * Strong mechanical aptitude * Problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to perform work with a minimum or no supervision or assistance * Must possess a strong work ethic and integrity o Basic level of understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment repair o Ability to coordinate and communicate with general contractors and vendors as needed EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 1 to 3 years of trade school or equivalent on the job experience. * Experience with and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components. * Experience with and ability to troubleshoot plumbing systems and components. * Experience with and ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment * Experience with preventive maintenance work PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry heavy items and equipment, up to 50 lbs * Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand and walk for long durations during the work shift. * Must be able to work from a ladder. * Position may involve working in non-climate-controlled environments . * Position involves working with various types of tools and equipment that may require bending, standing, climbing or walking.
