National Account Manager JOB SUMMARY: The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing and developing strategic relationships with roofing contractors that are part of private equity-backed and roll-up national companies. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, aligning with company goals to expand market share and revenue in the commercial and residential roofing sectors. The role requires a deep understanding of the roofing industry, private equity dynamics, and national account management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service, sales performance, and long-term partnerships. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - National Account Manager * Account Management & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting roofing contractors involved in private equity-backed roll-up companies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. * Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at national roofing contractors, including C-suite executives and purchasing managers, fostering long-term partnerships. * Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities within the private equity-backed roofing sector and expanding existing accounts. * Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, purchasing, finance, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions to national accounts. * Private Equity Understanding: Utilize knowledge of private equity dynamics and roll-up strategies to position products and services in a way that aligns with the financial and operational goals of these companies. * Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account plans, and pipeline management. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on market trends, account performance, and opportunities. * Industry Expertise: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions in the roofing and building materials industry, especially as they relate to private equity acquisitions and consolidations. Qualifications: * Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in national account management, preferably within the roofing, building materials, or construction industry. Experience working with private equity-backed firms or roll-up strategies is a significant advantage. * Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the roofing industry, including contractors, distribution channels, and the competitive landscape. * Sales Expertise: Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and delivering revenue growth. Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies. * Private Equity Acumen: Familiarity with private equity ownership structures, financial goals, and growth strategies, especially in relation to roll-up business models. * Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organization. * Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to assess market opportunities and develop actionable sales strategies. * Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed. Education: * Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.
