FunctionSupervises effective and safe use of equipment in the manufacture of product. Motivates subordinates to work together and to maintain a high level of productivity. Determines and implements improvements in facility manufacturing processes.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervises facility production activities and provides a working environment on his/her shift that ensures efficient manufacture of quality products. Develops or assists in developing technical and administrative solution to meet or exceed facility metrics.Monitors and improves productivity of manufacturing processes.Maintains a high level of employee morale and employee participation.Maintains a high level of department safety and housekeeping.Administers facility or department policy in a fair and consistent manner.Recommends changes in size of workforce.Participates in selection and termination of hourly employees.Participates in facility projects to help achieve plant objectives and goals.Accountable for all facilities operations to include security on off shifts and weekends.Performs all other duties as assigned.Position SpecificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or related field or equivalent amount of previous relevant experience.Five (5) years production supervision experience; LEAN and/or Six Sigma training preferred.Fork lift certified.Mechanical/electrical/electronic experience or aptitude to learn at an accelerated pace.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)Ability to lead and motivate others.Ability to work with all levels of people in achievement of facility objectives.Excellent communication and analytical skills.
