Inventory Specialist

Join Us at Holy Family Hospital Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement. Position Summary: FT 40 hours days, Inventory Specialist Qualifications: * Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Key Competencies * Maintains appropriate supply and inventory levels, while maintaining reasonable inventory cost level and turns. * Maintains appropriate supply and inventory levels, while minimizing stock outs to departments. * Works with departments to facilitate requests for products or services. * Works with the corporate supply chain office to see that the Meditech item file data is consistent, accurate and current. * Recommends changes to item descriptions in the item file to assure locating ease for novice Meditech users. * Assist in maintaining, preparation, and counting of physical inventories. * Communicates all back orders or stock problems to customer on a timely basis. * Works with primary distributor on a daily basis. * Develops requested reports accurately and on a timely basis. * Monitors backorder reports generated by main distributor, as well as through Meditech systems to assure that stockouts are minimized. * Responsible for controlling and coordinating the issuance of stock through HF Stores and par levels. * Validates inventory stock levels to assure accuracy with the Meditech system. * Responsible for checking and maintaining outdates in Storerooms.
