We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to various locations to provide on-site service, maintenance, and repair of Topcon equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a willingness to travel extensively.Responsibilities:Install, train, and service Topcon Machine Control systems on heavy equipment including Dozers, Motor Graders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Compactors, Pavers, and Curb Machines.Troubleshoot complex issues to improve machine performance or complete repairs.Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.Perform Pre and Post Sale Technical Support assistance for customers and the sales team via phone, email, and remote desktop.Qualifications:Mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and technical aptitude required.Hydraulics and Electronics aptitude. Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems will be required.Customer Service and Support skills.Strong knowledge of computers.Physically capable of climbing onto large equipment and lifting to 75 pounds.Work will be outside in the elements (rain, cold, heat)Willingness to travel 80%. Travel requirements fluctuate depending on business requirements and are subject to change.Valid Driver's License with a clean driving recordEducation & ExperienceAS or equivalent field experience working on heavy equipment is required.Operation of heavy construction equipment.Mechanical, hydraulic, and technical troubleshooting.Machine Control installation experience is preferred.
