This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Under the management of the Assistant Director of Production and direction from the Director of Production and Technical Operations, the Production Management Coordinator coordinate pre-production and production workflow process for student projects. This position ensures that Dodge College policies and proper safety procedures are followed for these projects. This position will process financial, and insurance requests as needed, maintain constant communication with stakeholders, and work closely with faculty and other production and technical staff to provide necessary support to student productions. This position will assist in the development and improvement of procedures and functions of Dodge College to improve student satisfaction. The Production Management Coordinator will also provide additional support to the Production Management team as needed.Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise the pre-production and production process for designated student projects:Oversee "green light" process for approving designated projects to start production.Process insurance and financial paperwork.Monitor compliance with SAG-AFTRA signatory process and film permit requirements.Ensure compliance with Dodge College policies and safety procedures.Communicate production and safety policies to students and faculty.Review scripts to identify safety and logistical concerns.Provide guidance on industry standard safety protocol related to stunts, driving sequences, fire and prop weapons.Support class assignment needs:Work with faculty to organize group assignments.Provide production support as needed including processing insurance certificates and filming location requests.Provide additional support to the Production Management Team as needed.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in film and TV or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years previous industry work experience in professional physical production atmosphere.Knowledge of current production standards with ability to breakdown scripts and analyze shooting schedules and budgets.Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals, both inside and outside the university.Exceptionally detail oriented while maintaining high volume of work with quick turnaroundStrong writing skills for communicating with supervisors, faculty, staff and industry contacts.Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to constant interruption.Ability to prepare financial reports and reconcile expenses.Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain a high level of confidentiality in both oral and written communications.Effectively collaborate with other in complex situations.Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.Working knowledge of production, film, and video equipment.Desired Qualifications Knowledge of industry standard software applications including EP/Movie Magic software.Previous work at a higher education institution.Special Instructions to Applicants Chapman University is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic global community.
