Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is a multi-craft position that requires a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronics (PLC). This position provides emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments in an industrial/automated environment. What You Will Do at Acme: * Successfully troubleshoot, install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as directed. * Perform troubleshooting using a PLC * Identify parts and supplies as needed to perform assigned tasks using manuals, catalog, etc. Perform work in an efficient and timely manner * Confers with operators and observers, tests, and evaluates operations of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction. * Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs. * Repairs, replaces, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipment orders or fabricates replacement parts. * Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs. * Records repairs, maintenance performed and machine maintenance information utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System. * Communicates with or assists other associates to repair equipment. * Maintain a cooperative relationship with those contacted in the course of work activities. * Adhere to all Safety Policies! Always wearing Personal Protective Equipment. About You Your Education & Experience: * Associates degree in Electronics, General Technology, or related field and 2+ years industrial maintenance experience. * Must be proficient in the following areas: Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics. Your Skills & Abilities: * Must be proficient in the following areas: * Electrical * Electronic * PLC * Mechanical * Hydraulic * Pneumatics * Ability to communicate in English. * Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work. Physical Requirements: * The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks. * Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility. * Ability to climb stairs. * The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups. * The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties. * The ability to work in cold (-10 to 45*F) and wet environment. * Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times. Health & Safety Requirements: * Follows EHS, GMP, HR and other company policies. * Wear required PPE. * Follow mandated OSHA regulations. * Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
