Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician based in Phoenix, AZ. This position will provide general maintenance labor for the repair and upkeep of our two facilities in the West Valley and coordinate the work of relevant vendors.Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, and McKinney, TX in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.Primary responsibilities will include:Monitor building and grounds to ensure a neat presentation, performing general cleaning and maintenance activities for the building, grounds, equipment, and fixtures.Responsible for the cleanliness of the dock and dock door maintenance activities.Report the need for any major repairs and any security violations to management.Perform minor repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, swamp coolers, and carpentry needs and perform painting tasks as needed. This includes equipment setup and repairs and the maintenance and repairs for the forklift, tugger, and scissor lift.Move furniture, receive deliveries of equipment, stock, etc.Perform electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance throughout facility.Coordinate ongoing and annual permits and inspections (emissions, fire, sprinkler, etc.) and fire drills.Point of contact to coordinate the work of third party vendors, including a professional cleaning service, and the landlord.Responsible for scrap recycling, waste stream and hazardous waste activities.Maintenance of equipment manuals and lead on safety inspections.Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent along with 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
