Veterinary Assistant - Rockland Veterinary Care About Us: Rockland Veterinary Care is a network of three animal hospitals serving Rockland County since 2007. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care for our patients and their owners. Our services include wellness exams, immunizations, laser surgery, digital radiography, in-house laboratory services, and ultrasound. Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and professional Veterinary Assistants to join our growing team. Full-time and part-time positions with flexible schedules, including some weekends, are available. Key Responsibilities: * Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments, procedures, and surgeries. * Triage patients, administer treatments and medications, and maintain accurate medical records. * Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs. * Fill prescriptions and maintain hospital cleanliness. * Handle clerical and administrative tasks as needed. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience. * At least one year of veterinary experience preferred. * Strong technical, communication, and computer skills. * Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 40 pounds. * Knowledge of hospital procedures, treatment protocols, and veterinary terminology.
